Matthew Piepenburg

Mr. Piepenburg is a Senior Consultant with Insight Partners where he applies his extensive background in law, real estate, and investor relations to the firm’s international consulting practice. Before joining Insight, Mr. Piepenburg served as General Counsel to a major family foundation and functioned as an advisor to its various family entities, including a hedge fund with an extensive venture capital and private equity arm. Mr. Piepenburg also worked in the corporate and real estate department for the Miami-based law firm of Steel, Hector & Davis, LLP. Fluent in German and French, he has experience with an international group of personal and institutional clients in complex international real estate planning and development projects. He was a transactional attorney for Goulston & Storrs in Boston in its corporate and real estate departments and, prior to entering law, was an analyst of domestic industries with Dresdner Bank in Frankfurt, Germany.

Mr. Piepenburg has an LLM from the University of Michigan, an MTS from Harvard and a BA from Brown University. A published and prize-winning author of two books in fiction and non-fiction, Mr. Piepenburg is also the founder of The Emerson Circle, LLC, a non-profit literary society.
